A personalized AI companion app from New Computer, co-founded by Sam Whitmore and former Apple designer Jason Yuan, that launched on iOS in June 2024. On September 5, 2025 the founders announced that their 'shared Northstar had diverged' and that, rather than compromise either vision, they would 'wind down operations'. The app stopped on October 5, 2025, after a month for data export. The company claimed 'hundreds of thousands' of users; Appfigures counted about 24,500 lifetime iOS downloads, and there was never an Android app.
