All three Imagen 4.0 variants on the Gemini API — generate, ultra and fast — dead in under 14 months, after Google already slipped the date once. The best part was the exit signage: the pricing-page banner told users to migrate to Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, which is itself deprecated with an October shutdown. An evacuation route into a building that's also on fire.
