antigravity-preview-05-2026 was the first version of Google's managed Antigravity agent in the Gemini API, launched May 19, 2026 alongside Managed Agents. On September 17 Google shipped antigravity-preview-09-2026, which swapped the old file tools for new ones (write_file became write_to_file and replace_file_content, read_file became view_file, list_files became list_dir), moved tool parameters to PascalCase, replaced full-file rewrites with line-range edits, and set the old agent's shutdown for October 5. It lived 139 days. Apps that only read its output changed one string; anyone running its tools locally or parsing its function calls had to rewrite code. The Antigravity IDE is unaffected.
