On-device AI dubbing for the web. You hovered over a video, clicked Translate, and Edge downloaded a roughly 200 MB language model and replaced the audio track in real time. Shown off at Build 2024, it shipped in Edge 141 in October 2025, but only on Windows PCs with at least 12 GB of RAM and a four-core CPU, and only in select markets. Edge 152 began retiring it on August 27, 2026, less than eleven months later, in the same release that killed Edge Drop. Microsoft gave no reason.
